The Building Service Contractors Association of Australia (BSCAA) Queensland division has recognised the efforts of those within the cleaning and security industries at the annual BSCAA QLD AustralianSuper Industry Excellence Awards.
Kim Puxty, president of the BSCAA QLD, said the annual AustralianSuper Excellence Awards, held on Friday 18 November, “give us the opportunity to say ‘thank you’”.
Cleanworks Australia was named Outstanding Company in the Cleaning Industry – QLD, while Mike Daley of Sharman Property Service received the Manager Award. Other winners on the night included Rod Abbott of NRE Maintenance, who was named Outstanding Owner/Operator in the Cleaning Industry (0-10 employees).
A first for this year’s awards was the Recognition of Service Award, which Puxty said acknowledges “individuals who have dedicated more than 10 years of their life to the cleaning industry”. The inaugural Recognition of Service Award was given to Royston Evans from One Team Clean Cleaning Services.
Puxty also thanked the event’s judging panel and sponsors including AustralianSuper; Qleave, the major sponsor the Managers Awards and Recognition of Service Award; as well as Absolute Apparel; Occupational Consultants; TAA Connect; EBM Insurance and Fresh Ops.
