Bio-Steam plots international expansion

Australian-owned distributor to launch cleaning systems in Malaysia, Singapore and New Zealand.

Bio-Steam will launch KHD conveyor belt cleaning systems in Malaysia, Singapore and New Zealand under a new supply agreement.

Bio-Steam is an Australian owned family business based in Brisbane that supplies commercial and industrial dry vapour steam cleaning equipment. KHD specialises in the design and manufacture of products for steam cleaning conveyor belts.

“KHD systems are a game changer for dry goods manufacturers, cleaning and sanitising using less than 30 litres of water in an hour,” said Bio-Steam managing director Neil Hodkinson.

“With a growing national and international reputation, KHD is just a perfect supply partner.”

Keith Handy, founder of KHD said Bio-Steam was one of the first companies to embrace KHD’s product range.

“It is through close collaboration and sharing of experience backed up with first class customer support that has given us confidence to expand Bio-Steams outreach for KHD in the region. We work as a team, and like all successful teams we share the same values and vision.”

Bio-Steam has extended its brand into several new countries this year, from New Caledonia, Fiji, Malaysia, New Zealand to Singapore.

UMS Corporation, a supplier of conveyor belts and systems, has been announced as Bio-Steam’s Malaysian and Singaporean distribution partner.

Ng Seng Ling, UMS Group general manage said the company sees a good fit with Bio-Steam to resolve some of its primary customer needs.

“Working with Bio-Steam and KHD to support this revolutionary technology is exciting for us. We will be introducing a new trend of cleaning to these industries.”
