Melbourne-based robotic distribution company Quantum Robotics has become a reseller of the Avidbots floor scrubber range in Australia following a new partnership deal.
Avidbots Australia director Thomas Mort told INCLEAN the new partnership, which sees Quantum Robotics become a distributor of the Neo floor scrubber, is part of the company’s wider expansion strategy.
According to Mort, the company is hoping to replicate the success of Avidbots’ Neo floor scrubber outside of the retail sector, where the machine has reported the highest adoption.
“Our partnership with Quantum Robotics will help us reach industries that still require cleaning but are outside our current target market, such as warehouse facilities and food processing plants,” he said.
Quantum Robotics manager Peter Ball said: “We only align ourselves with the world’s best robot for each of the niches we work in and the robots that provide the biggest return of investment in the shortest amount of time.”
Ball said the machine is ideal for facilities with more than 5000sqm of hard floors that need cleaning more than five times a week.
“The fear of automation taking over the jobs of humans is one many are familiar with. In reality, employees are made to feel more valued by spending more of their time on the important tasks that require intellect and skill leaving the repetitive, uninspiring tasks to the robots.”
