Academy Services expands team with key senior appointments

Appointments follow a major operational review of the company’s national footprint.

Facilities services company Academy Services is preparing for the biggest change in its 40-year history, with the appointment of key senior staff.

The national company has recently appointed financial accountant Abby Zheng and senior HR specialist Jo Rigon, as it prepares for transformation into an integrated FM services provider.

Academy Services CEO, James Pollock, said the appointments followed a major operational review of the company’s national footprint.

“Our transformation sees us updating our business systems and organisational capabilities, along with marketing and sales processes, so that we can be market leaders,” Mr Pollock said.

“With Jo and Abby on board, we now feel we have the organisational capacity to achieve our transformation ambitions.”

The business transformation will also result in a company rebranding, with a new name and logo to be revealed later this year.

Further changes to the company’s organisation see current staff members taking up new roles:

  • Hamish McWhirr (Safety & Business Systems Manager);
  • Greg O’Shaughnessy (National Sales Manager);
  • Kasun Samarawickrama (General Manager – Soft Services); and
  • Ben Pursche (General Manager ECompliance)

Meanwhile, Academy Services’ Indigenous capacity supply partner Ganbara Facility Services is also shaping for growth, with the recent appointment of Marius Liddle as the company’s business and cultural consultant.
