6 reasons to attend the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo

Six reasons why tomorrow's ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo is not to be missed.

Australia’s only dedicated cleaning and hygiene trade event, the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo kicks off tomorrow at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Darling Harbour in Sydney.

Here’s six reasons why this year’s event is not to be missed:

1.  See the latest products

There will be more than 70 top tier Australian manufacturers and suppliers under one roof, who will be showcasing the latest in cleaning technology and creative innovation through product demonstrations and expert presentations on their stands.

2. Hear from a sporting legend

This year’s keynote speaker is former Wallabies captain John Eales. The former Australian Rugby Union player is hailed as one of the most successful captains in the history of Australian rugby.

The sportsman will share with attendees his advice on the importance of coaching, teamwork and culture within businesses and the necessity to have faith in your team, particularly in times of change and when facing aggressive competition.

3. Two education theatres

For the first time this year, the ISSA Cleaning & Hgiene Expo will feature two education theatres  – the ISSA Speaker Theatre and the SRCP Speaker Theatre.

The ISSA Speaker Theatre will be focused on the general cleaning, health, and sanitation industry, while the inaugural SRCP (Specialised Restoration & Cleaning Professionals) Speaker Theatre will focus on carpet care, remediation and restoration.

The ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo is also co-located with the Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE), offering access to expanded exhibition and education sessions.

The AWRE speaker series will cover trends, developments, strategies and policies which are shaping Australasia’s waste and recycling industry.

4. INCLEAN Innovation Awards

The INCLEAN Innovation Awards will be held following the first day of the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo (Wednesday, 29 August).

Now in its seventh year, the INCLEAN Innovation Awards encourage the achievements of those demonstrating quality and excellence within their respective markets while clearly defining application benefits for end-users.

5. Networking opportunities

Networking drinks will be hosted on the show floor following the first day of the trade show (Wednesday, 29 August) giving attendees a chance to network with key individuals within the industry.

ISSA and SCRP, a division of ISSA, will also be hosting member networking drinks at the conclusion of the final day of the trade show on Thursday, 30 August.

6. Gain skills and accreditation

Workshops are also on offer for ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo attendees including a Mould Awareness Seminar and Woolsafe Fibre ID and Stain Removal Workshop.

The Mould Awareness Seminar investigates the driving focus around ‘sick building syndrome’, indoor air quality and minimising employee absenteeism.

Attendees of the Woolsafe Fibre and Stain Removal Workshop will be guided on how to use correct cleaning methods and chemistry to remove stubborn stains.

The ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo is on Wednesday, 29 August and Thursday, 30 August and is free to attend. To register click here
