INCLEAN Innovation Awards winners

Winners named at the inaugural ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo.

The winners of the 2017 INCLEAN Innovation Awards have been named at the inaugural ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo.

This year’s awards received a record number of entries across five categories: Equipment, Paper & Dispensing, Cleaning Agents, Services & Technology and Janitorial.

The judging panel included George Stamas, national president of the BSCAA; Mark Helps of Consultancy Helps and Claire Hibbit, editor of INCLEAN magazine.

“The cleaning industry has been continually redefining itself for many years and innovation, sustainability and productivity have been at the core. The Expo showcases many advancements in these area,” George Stamas said.

Commenting on the awards, judge Mark Helps said: “Having been involved in this industry for 40 years I have witnessed a lot of changes, but the last few years have seen so much innovation and improvement in machinery, chemicals, products and techniques, it fills me with great optimism and enthusiasm for the future of our industry.”

The INCLEAN Innovation Awards were held at the networking drinks following the first day of the trade show.

Hako Australia and Rugged Industries won the highly coveted Equipment category, which received the highest amount of entries, for The Advantage Bagless Back Pack Vacuum.

Conquest and Tennant were Highly Commended for their respective machines, the MMG Plus Scrubber Machine by Conquest and the M17 Battery Sweeper Scrubber with eco-H20 Technology by Tennant.

Abco Product’s Enviroplus Bioactive Toilet Paper took out Paper & Dispensing, with Tork’s Image Design range and Smartone Elevation range both Highly Commended.

New Zealand-based Pure Concept’s Pod Petite sanitary waste disposal system won the Janitorial category.

Melbourne-based management platform Clientskey claimed the top spot for Services & Technology, while sanitiser brand Elyptol won the Cleaning Agents category, with PROBlue Cleaning Products range by Custom Chemicals International receiving Highly Commended.
