It was a decision supported unanimously by members present at a 16 November general meeting.

“Cleaning Council WA will be used in conjunction with Building Service Contractors Association of Australia (WA) in a co-branding strategy to assist the WA membership achieve its vision and strategic goals,” stated president Shannon Daniels (pictured).

“The WA vision is ‘To be the go to authority’ in Western Australia for matters relating to the cleaning industry and to represent the interests of its members by promoting growth and delivering benefits that assist members with compliance and the ongoing management of their cleaning businesses,” added Daniels.

He noted that the addition of the CCWA name will have no impact on the benefits provided to both local and national members as the body will continue to be BSCAAWA. “If anything, the new co-branded identity will empower the Association to take a stronger position on matters that affect the cleaning industry and provide it with a louder voice in government and the private sector as those outside the industry body recognise who we are and what we stand for.

“Anyone operating a cleaning business in Western Australia should be involved in the industry body that supports their interests and promotes the growth of their business,” emphasised Daniels.
